Ruwini Thakshila Abeymanna is a former Sri Lankan Olympian who represented her country in the sport of shooting. She gained recognition on the international stage when she competed in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games in the women’s 10-meter air rifle event. Although she didn’t secure a medal, her participation in the Olympics was a milestone for Sri Lankan shooting sports, and it placed her among the few athletes from the country to compete at the highest level of competition.

Apart from her Olympic involvement, Ruwini continued to contribute to the development of shooting sports in Sri Lanka, competing in various other regional and international competitions. Her commitment to the sport helped pave the way for future athletes in Sri Lanka, especially in the discipline of shooting.
