Story of the Olympian
Thamara Samandeepika is a Sri Lankan track and field athlete known for her participation in international competitions, including the Olympics. She specialized in middle-distance running, particularly the 800 meters event. Samandeepika represented Sri Lanka at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, competing in the women’s 800 meters.
